Are You Scared About the Future of Our Nation? I am!!

I do not know what the future will bring.  I am not a Nostradomus or crystal ball reader.  What I am is just your average every day citizen of the United States.  A small farmer, family man, veteran of the Vietnam War.  But I sense danger ahead, and I do not believe I am alone in that sensing.  I believe it is felt by many conservatives.  Our country is a divided.  A division that I and others do not believe can be healed.  Dennis Prager says it best in his most recent column.  There Are Two Irreconcilable Americas .   His decription of the different beliefs held by liberals and conservatives says it all.

What is this danger that we feel?   Perhaps it is nothing more than an uneasiness about the direction of the country.  A doubt about our leaders, our financial institutions, our economy, and the dangers we face from without our borders. I think it is all of that and more.  If the liberals take total control of our federal government, we face many changes.  Changes that could bode ill for all of us.  Bigger government, higher taxes, open borders, unlimited immigration, a conversion to total socialism and a welfare state.  We stand to lose our freedom, our national identity, our very country possibly.  We are at a crossroad that leads to where?

I am afraid.  I am afraid for my children and grandchildren.  I am afraid for my family and my neighbors.  I am afraid for my country.  The country that I served and risked my life for.  We face danger no matter which road we take at this crossroad.  One perhaps less than the other.  But believe this.  Either road takes us into danger.
If the liberals take control, then that is one set of dangers to our lives and country.  If they lose this election then we face a different set of dangers.  But very real dangers.

I do not know what is ahead.   I never have.  I planned my life the best I could.  But this is the first time that I have felt the fear, the confusion, the danger, that seems to be looming in our future.  I fear we are on a runaway locomotive that is coming to the end of the tracks.
