I am sick of all of it.  The liberals and their government control seeking.  The repubs and RINO's with their government control seeking.  Sick of them all.  
I just want to be left alone to live my life as I see fit within my conciounce and my morals as passed down by my ancestors and parents and the founders of this country. I would love having my government and my country back.  But it isn't going to happen.  Not now, not ever.  The time is over. 

I am sick to death of the government reaching into every aspect of my life to control what I do.  Good example.  I raise sheep. Used to anyway.  Used to have a large flock.  Went to sell some and found out that I couldn't sell them to even a private individual unless I had gotten numbered tags from the government and registered my farm with said agency along with the number of sheep I owned, breed, ages and oh, number of people being supported by said farm activity.  And the guy I sold them to had been so oh, controlled, believed all their bull, that he actually harrassed me for weeks afterwards. I had sold him very happy healthy sheep. Yet he was so enamored of the government controls and had been brainwashed by them that he kept calling me wanting the tags.  It went on for several weeks.  I told him that if he wanted the tags so bad, he can register them himself and get them.   He didnt, or wouldnt, and kept after me.   Until I flat out told him to never call me or contact me again on pain of...well, lets just say I made my point.  He never called me again.  

After that, I sold all but 6 head of my sheep..  As many as I needed to have young to raise for meat and replacement ewes for my now very small flock. Plus wool if, in the future, I need it.   Same with my goats...same with my cattle.  I now raise just enough livestock for mine and my own families use...or my neighbors and friends.  I no longer raise livestock or foodstuffs for sale to the general public.  The same with many small farmers now. 

Government regulations have run me out of the business.  Only the corporation farms now can afford to deal with them.

Me, I will watch out for my family and friends.  One more small farmer among many who no longer raise food commercially.  No longer.  And a crisis is coming when the public is going to be looking for food.  Not going to get it from me.  And if the government tries to take it by force...so be it.  If that is what my country and government has or will become, then I would prefer death as to living then.  

They know who I am and where I am.  They know that on everyone who posts here and on other forums. If you think otherwise, then you are naive to the nth degree. That is what we live under now.  Especially since the liberal takeover of our government.  And "we the people"  handed it to them on a silver platter because the "people" wanted "hope and change"  Well, they got it.  I stated then, before the election, on my blog here, that the people who voted for Obama would get the government that they deserved.  And they are and have. I hope they are happy as they lose their freedoms and the government comes in and tells them how to live, where to go for medical care, even "IF" they can even GET medical care.  But I guess that is what the sheeple wanted.  To sit back and let the government do it all for them...so they don't have to work and can sit and veg out in front of the boob tube.  Where they don't have to think or raise their own kids....heck, let the government do that. 

So they are getting what they want.

Congratulations to all.  You voted for it. You are getting it.   And if you, like me, are one of those that didn't?  Well, we get to watch as our country changes into something that resembles China, or Russia.... You really think that there will be elections in November?  Elections that are actually free of fraud and controls?   If Obama and crew don't find a way to put the elections off, then they will do the next best thing.  Rig them. 
The end of America as we knew years ago is at hand.  I saw what was coming.  And I tried, like many others to tell people, show them.  But they were sheep.  And are getting what they deserve.  Myself and those like me, will either be forced to live in the new Amerika or will be killed.  Likely the later.
I don't think I will last long under the new regime in 2011, let alone 2012.  

I will be watching, and doing what little I can to help keep our country free. Working with various groups to keep in touch with our "representatives" and urge them to vote against the "hope and change".  But it seems like they have turned deaf...at least to those who elected them.   I still hope.   But I am rapidly losing hope. 

Yes, that is right.  Obamaland is coming and it is close.  The United States of America is close to being no more.  Obama and his cronies are trashing our constitution, taking over the economy of the country.  Seizing control of our medical system.  Total government control of the US economy and financial, medical, business system.  They already control the military. Most of the media as well.   Not much else to go.  Except the constitution.   He is already ignoring the law.  Look at the recent Inspector General fired by him recently.  The law...which he signed onto as a senator, states that an IG cannot be fired without 30 days notice and notice to congress showing the reasoning and cause for the firing.  He broke the law.  Yet are you hearing about it via the Obamamedia.  Nope.  About the only media that is talking about it is talk radio and Fox. 

Look at what happened when Bush fired the US Attorneys, which he DID have the right to do.  You would have thought he had killed them the way the Obamamedia screamed about it.  Obama breaks the law in firing the IG, yet not a peep is heard in the Obamamedia.

Once Obama and the democraps seize control of all aspects of this country, it wont be long before our rights will start disappearing along with the constitution.  And what do you do about it. 

I have to laugh.  I really think now that most of the people in this country are sheep.  Obaaaaaamaaaa,  Obaaaaammmaaaaaa.  Just baaing along behind the ONE!!. 

Lets see how they baaaaaaaa.....when they have to ask "pretty please"  for medical care, and have to sign that they will vote for the democraps and support the democraps in order to get that medical care.

Or lets say they want a job?  They might and likely will have to sign that they will vote for Obama in the next election.  Oh, voting is private so how would the government know?   By doing the same thing to our elections that they are doing for the union elections...Card Check.  Dont think it will happen?  WATCH!!!   And protest?  There will no longer be free speech as we know it now.  Criticize the governement or Obama and you will find yourself without a job, or without medical care, or maybe just thrown in jail...or worse.  Because opposition will not be legal.  Dont think its possible?  Look at political correctness.   alot of that has been cannonized in law. 

So folks.  Better watch out.  Unless something drastic happens by 2010 we will no longer be a republic but a dictatorship.  Unless enough folks wake up to what Obama and the democrap progressives and yes, even Republcans, though there is still some hope there.  The progressives are taking over our country.  And if you folks dont wake up and elect a congress and senate and a president that will defend our constitution we WILL become that OBAMALAND.  And you will have handed over your freedom and your rights.

  At one time, I am almost ashamed to say it, I declared my self a democrate.  Yes, when I was in my late teens and early 20's I held allegience to the democratic party.  But then, over time, and as I grew older and I believe wiser, I realized that my beliefs did not jive with the displayed beliefs of the democratic line.  So I switched parties.  Heck, it must have been almost 30 years ago now.  A long time. 
And now, I find myself examining my party affiliation and beliefs once again.  And I find the Republican party has left me.  At least as displayed in this latest election and the most liberal candadate that could be found in the party along with years of the party trying to outdemocrate the democrates instead of holding to basic conservative principles. 

  So I am at a loss as where to go from here?   The Republican party seems to still be trying to outdemocrate the democrates and one vocal segment is saying we need to move more left in order to attract the swing votes and that our conservative beliefs are old fashioned and out of date and that the party needs to "get with it".   In this last election the party moved left as far as it could without actually declaring itself a wing of the democratic party and the republicans lost miserably.   So I wonder...how far left is the party supposed to go to please these Rhinos?   I think the Rinos need to "get with it" and understand one thing.  That American majority is conservative in beliefes and abandoning those folks is what lost the party this last election. 

  But if the party, and it seems its headed that way further, is just going to be another gang of liberals, then they have left me looking for another political party to join.  Unless the Republican party does a quick turnaround.  Regardless, I am now looking for a new party to join.  And the list is lacking.  Especially for conservatives.

  Which means conservatives need to make their own party.  One that will hold at its core, our conservative beliefs.  A party that will not abandon those beliefs trying to chase "swing voters" or because liberal polls try to show the party is tooooo conservative.  A party that will represent the conservative beliefs of the majority of the people in this country.  We need a conservative party.  In beliefs...and maybe in name also. 
The Republican party was once this party.  And it could be again.  But not by continuing the direction it is in. 
So where does that leave me.  Well, I will give the Republican party a little more time.  And see what they do in 2010.  Then, if they dont again represent my beliefs then I guess its time for the Conservative Party.

  Where is our country headed?   We just elected a president that was selected for us and promoted by the media and about whom we know very little real information.  We do not know anything about his school record or very little.  We do not even know for sure that he is an actual native born citizen.  Any doubt is enough doubt for that to be verified.  Yet it is declared to be unimportant by those who know better than us.  Our president elect has a history, a looonnggg history of association with radicals, terrorists and other assorted characters of low reputation, and yet that is declared by those who know better than us to be of little importance.  And the majority of the masses said OK!!.   His entire campaign was based on "THE CHANGE WE NEED".  But what that change was, was never specified.  The media and the liberals suckered this country.

  So where do we go from here?  I dont know.  Likely, into lala land.  Where the government hands out money, and opens our borders and we all end up on the government dole living 2 families to an apartment in a huge square block of apartments as they do in Russia.  Where land belongs to the collective and the "people".  Where we stand in lines for hours to buy a single loaf of bread.  Where medical care is portioned out and only those whom the state has deemed worthy get what little medical care is available.  Where private enterprise is almost non-existant because it has been taxed out of existance in order to "level the playing field" and to give to the 'have nots'.  
Where all large businesses and the banks are owned by the government. Where even our day to day lives are regulated and controlled by the government. 

This country is giving up its freedoms.  I should say the PEOPLE of this country are giving up their freedoms.  I was in the military for 10 years as where and are many of my brothers in arms.  Serving in the military teaches you the value of freedom.  On active duty in the military you give up personal freedom to the whole.  You go where you are told, live how you are told, work the job you are assigned, dress how you are told, the military is your mother, father and brother.   You do nothing that is not ultimately under the control of those in power over you. You do as you are told.  That is the way it has to be....in the military.

Once you have served and return to civilian life, it is a shock.  Suddenly everything is YOUR responsibility.  No one is there to tell you what, when and where and how.   You can starve, or live in the streets.  Your life suddenly is yours to live as you choose.  Gradually, you adjust.  And in time come to realize what a gift freedom is.  You come to value what you gave up in service of your country.  You love your country even more than before.  You learn what a gift freedom is. 

And now, we watch as our countrymen give up those freedoms in order to be taken care of.  To not have to live with our mistakes or choices. To be taken care of.  To be told by those over us, where to live, how to live, what to eat, when to eat, where to work, and where medical care is doled out as we are told what is best for us.  That isnt freedom.  Those of us who serve and have served know what freedom is.  We gave it up in order to serve our country and preserve the freedoms of its citizens.  And now our sacrifice and the sacrifice of those before us is being thrown away.  Believe me.  once you lose your freedom you only appreciate it more.  I guess many of our countrymen need to learn that again.  And learn what freedom is and how valuable it is. 

Wake up America!!

All we hear from those that favor an uncontrolled and open southern border is two things.  First, that we cannot round up and deport 12 million illegals.  Second, that we cannot build a 2000 mile fence to keep anyone out.   Considering that China built a huge stone wall aprox 1400 miles long through country far worse than that on our southern border and that was done around 2000 years ago, I find it strange that the greatest and most modern nation on this earth cannot build a simple fence.  Or so the proponents of amnesty say.  Do the people of this country really believe that?   The Great Wall of China has been declared one of the greatest wonders in history.  And why was it built?  Not to keep the Chinese population in, but to protect its citizens from outside peoples.  To control the border that presented the greatest threat to its country and its culture.  And it worked, for many generations.

We need to tell our politicians now and continuously that they serve at the pleasure of the people.  And that they need to secure our borders now!  Our president has refused to do his duty to his people and still does so by not enforcing our current laws.  No wonder they dont work.  If those who are supposed to protect us do not enforce laws then they will not work.  Enforce the laws we have now and build the fence.  Not just 300 miles...not just 700 miles...but the entire length of our southern border.  We cannot wait another 2 or 3 years for the politicians to do the job that should have been done years ago.  And we cannot wait for them to come up with other false reasons why 12 or 20 or more million illegals should be legalized   We need to bring our army home from Europe and put it to protect our borders while the fence is being built.  And then to man the fence along with the border patrol  How about using our army for once to actually protect our own soil and our own people.

But I am ashamed to think that this nation cannot or will not build a lowly fence.  But its not that we cannot.  It is because our leaders have another agenda and its not to protect this nation or its citizens. And apparently they believe the people of this country are too stupid to see it. I think it is time to end the cronyism and the profesional politician class.  Its time for term limits for the congress and senate as well as the state legislatures.  Its time for the people of this country to take back its government from the elites and big business and for our government to be again a citizen government, by, and for the people. 

I have written many times here on Townhall both in response to many of the columnists but also on my blog here. I have intensely followed the debate on immigration and debated it myself. I have written, faxed, emailed and called my senators and the White House. And it seems that even with all of that and the many of our country's citizens who are doing the same, fighting to keep our country and the American culture and traditions alive, it seems that our government still will not listen to the citizens of the USA.

  I quote from our own Declaration of Independence:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. --That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Is our government representing the will of the greatest number of the citizens of this country or that of big business and other special interests just its self interest in a naked power grab for the votes of the current illegals in this country?  

It is beginning to seem that those in our government, with a few rare exceptions, do not and will not listen to this country's people.

I am a conservative.  No longer do I consider myself a member of the republican party.  As far as I am concerned, the party has abandoned its conservative base, as has our president.  I can only state that I believe that we need to form a new political party.  One perhaps called the Conservative party.  To represent the interests of the conservatives of this country.  To represent the interests of those who believe in the dream that was and can be again, the country of our fathers. 

This is what we need to work toward.   I hope and pray that  we can succeed!

 

  Once again the elitists in our nations capital have rejected the voice of a majority of its citizens by voting yes on cloture to bring this disaster of an immigration bill to the floor of the Senate.  And it matters not what the people of this country feel about it.  We have been shown once again that we do not matter.  That our concerns mean less than spit to the elitists who currently are in charge.  What has happened to this great nation? 

  And this bill will pass now.   It started in closed door session and it will end in closed door session in committee after all amendments have been considered.  But even though they made some changes its still the same bill that the Senate approved last year.  It gives amnesty to 12 to 20 million illegals in this country and up to 40 million more in the next 20 years.  It will change this country permanently.  And not for the better. 

  People, you had better wake up.  Your and yours children's heritage is being handed over to the globalists and the elitists in charge are laughing at you.  They consider those of us who listen to talk radio stupid and uneducated.  
And they laugh at you.  Look at what happened this morning with the cloture vote.  The majority of the people of this country do not want this bill.  Yet they voted yes on cloture in spite of what the citizens of this country are saying. 

  WAKE UP!!!!   WE NEED TO TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY!!

We are supposed to accept these illegals and defend them because after all, they are only coming here because they want to improve their life.
Story TIME:

I woke up this morning to a knock on my door.  Outside stood a ragged man with his wife and children.  "Mester farmer, I am here to improve my life."  he told me, "You have 5 acres of land over there that would be perfect for a small farm for me and my family".  He then said, "We are going to move onto that land and farm it and provide for my family""  So he moves onto my land.  Builds a shack for himself and family and begins planting.  Next day, another shack goes up as his brother moves onto that land.  Then more shacks as, one after another his extended family moves to join him. 

After a week or two, I get another knock on my door.  There stands the same man, though not as ragged now.
"Mester farmer", said he, "I have too many people now on my small piece of land, and you have plenty, so we are going to take some more of your land so we can provide a better life for ourselves."  He continued, "And since you have such nice buildings for animals and plenty of room, we are going to use them as well"  So it continues, more shacks, more people, more land gone each day as the man moves more of his family and now his friends and neighbors from the old country are joining him.

Then one day I get another knock on my door.  I open it to find the same man standing there again, but now he is dressed as well as I am, in fact better.  "Mister farmer," he said, as he lit a cigar, "You have such a nice house and I live in such a poor one, and since I am now the patron of so many of my people who have come here to better their life, it is not seemly that I live in such a poor house."  He continued, "So my wife and children and I are going to move into your house and you may have my poor home."   He said then, "It is only fair since I am here trying to better my life and you have had so much more than I and my people for so long."

So, my family and I moved into a little shack on what was once my farm.  Complaints to my government did no good.  I was simply told that these were hard working people, doing jobs that Americans will not do and that they are only here because they want to better their life.  I tried to point out that my life has gotten far worse as a result of them bettering theirs.  I was told to shut up.  "Your government knows what is best for you" "Besides, to object to them bettering themselves at your expense is racist." 

"END OF CHAPTER ONE"

This is what our government is trying to hand us.  They should know better.  But they will learn. 

Why are our politicians rushing to destroy our culture?  And yes, even our country as it even today?

The beginnings of our country was as a result of an arrogant ruler refusing to listen to his subjects and forcing them to pay taxes on a basic commodity.  A tax that was only paid by those of his subjects on this continent.  A tax that was forced on the people of these colonies.  A spark that was the beginnings of this great nation was the Boston Tea Party.  I will not go into a description of it, but suffice to say it was the result of rumblings that grew into a revolution that threw off the shackles of a government that had grown arrogant and had stopped listening to its citizens, the common man.

I am hearing rumbling now.  The refusal of our leaders to listen to a large percentage of the citizens.  The arrogance of a president claiming those that put him into power and oppose his bill do not know or understand the situation and do not have the welfare of the nation at heart.  A government that seems to care more for those that have broken our laws than its citizens.  Politicians who have ceased representing those who elected them to do so.  A so called representative government that has ceased to represent the interests of the majority of its citizens and instead representing the interests of a big business and a group that has broken the laws of this country. 

That is the stuff of which revolutions are born.

It has happened once before after the birth of our nation.  When a large part of this nation felt that its interests and people were not being fairly treated, the Civil War was born and tore this nation asunder.  Could such a thing happen again?  I believe it could.  There are rumblings and the talk and the anger is growing. All that is needed is a spark.  A spark that will flame the tinder which is the growing anger and frustration of many of the citizens of this great nation.  Citizens who feel threatened by the growing loss of their culture and national identity. 

This nation was founded upon immigration, yes.  But after its birth, that immigration was controlled.  The people who came were assimilated into our culture which took the best parts of the cultures of the immigrants for its own.  But that is not happening now.  The millions who are here illegally are not assimilating.  They are NOT "doing jobs that Americans won't".  Instead they are a burden on our welfare system.  A burden on our schools.  They pay no taxes.  Yet they expect the same privileges as legal citizens.  They broke our laws by coming here.  They break our laws each day that they stay.  They break our laws by working here.  And we, as citizens, are being told by our "Representatives", that this does not matter.  That we should just forget it.  That we should just forget that the sudden influx of more illegals and increased immigration which will ultimately change or destroy our own unique culture.  That the America that we knew yesterday and today will cease to exist in a very few years.  We are supposed to sit idle and accept this. 

This the stuff of which revolutions are born.

Do you still doubt that there could be another "Tea Party" and the resulting conflagration? 

I don't!  If our politicians continue in the course in which they have been traveling, then it could very well happen. When and how, I do not know.  But I do believe that it is a very real danger for our country.  One that we can ill afford with the current "War on Terrorism".  

We can only hope that Washington comes to its senses.  Let us pray that it does.

 That seems to be the prevalent refrain by those in favor of the  current immigration bill being hammered through the Senate.   This is their attempt to shut down discussion and dissent.   This claim, in its various forms and implications has been spouted by supporters on both sides of the isle.  I find it interesting that suddenly my family and I are racists.  One, because my great-grandparents on both sides were immigrants, though they legally came to this country.  My son-in-laws family actually became citizens due to the 1986 Amnesty bill.  My daughter-in-law's family originally became citizens of this country when Texas became a state.  And I have 2 grandchildren of Hispanic blood.  And I love them dearly.   Yet not only am I against giving amnesty to 12 million illegals ot whatever place of origin, so are most members of my family, including those that are Hispanic. 

Because this bill will be a disaster for our country, our way of life and our safety.  It will solve nothing but create a multitude of problems. 

Yet the pundits and supporters of this amnesty all claim that those on the right who are against giving amnesty are racists and are for rounding up and deporting all 12 million illegals which is as far from the truth as could be possible.  Few if any want the illegals rounded up and deported in mass.  What most of us on the right want is our borders secured and sanctions taken against the employers who hire illegals.  Once those things happen, then we can discuss the 12 million illegals who are here.  But amnesty is out of the question.  To allow those who have broken our laws to be rewarded for their lawbreaking is to flout the rule of law.  It happened with the 1986 Amnesty bill, which Ted Kennedy said would be the last and only amnesty ever asked of this country.  He lied!

Once the borders are secured and sanctions are enforced against employers of illegals, the illegal problem in this country will, in large part, solve itself over time.  If they cannot find work, they will have no choice but to return to their own country.  Even if it takes 10 years or more years, if there is not longer the influx of illegals, then the problem will be solved without any "Comprehensive Reform" that allows lawbreakers to be rewarded for their crimes. 

Secure the borders.  Enforce the laws against those who employ illegals. 

Oh, and least I forget.  No welfare benefits, no free schooling, no food stamps, no free medical care except in the case of life or death.   And if an illegal is picked up by police...well...deportation.  If an illegal shows up for medical care....well...deportation.   If an illegal shows up for welfare benefits....well....deportation.  The problem will solve itself.

It is deplorable that at this point in time that 31 people have died at Virginia Tech as a result of the shooting spree by what is reported as one lone gunman.  Why didn't the college warn the students 2 hours earlier after the first shooting spree?  The "lone gunman" had time to go ALL THE WAY across the campus and catch students in classrooms.  The school should have been locked down hours earlier. 

I also find it hard to believe how the news media is pushing the report that the gunman was an "Asian" man in his 20's.   From the numbers killed and the amount of ammunition that the gunman had, that this was preplanned and that there might have been more than one gunman.  It has been reported on Fox News that the shooter in the the engineering classroom building at the second shooting scene had chained all the exterior doors.  That alone shows alot of foresight and planning along with the amount of ammo that was apparently used and carried by the shooter.  Yet the government and reporters are bending over backwards to avoid labeling this an act of terrorism.  Especially Islamic terrorism. 

The school has just confirmed that the shooter at Norris Hall who was killed by authorities carried no identification.  I find this hard to believe that this was NOT an act of terrorism at this point.    Carrying little or no ID would be typical of terrorists planning or when conducting a terrorist attack.  They cannot at this time connect the single shooter to both shootings at the campus. 

So watch the dance by authorities and the media as they try to deny this was an Islamic terrorist act. 

My heart goes out to the parents and family of those killed and wounded today.
